I would contact the Chinese developers of the software. Anytime I had a problem with my “purchased” version of DVDFab I contacted them and they fixed it for me. IF (not saying that you do) you have a pirated version of the software it is highly likely that the crack used to disable the authentication has been foiled by an upgraded version of the software. Try your “working version” on another computer and if it works great decide to use it AS IS without ever installing an upgrade!

I have DVDFab 8 on an old PC that I will soon replace. How do I transfer to a new PC without losing my lifetime status?

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

If you have a lifetime license, then you have to log-in to the member's area to download it and then the software can be activated on the new PC. This is, in fact, a response on the official forum of the software which you can access following this link: https://forum.dvdfab.cn/showthread.php?t=12211

There is no need for complicated procedures as it's a matter of uninstall-install-activate operation.

Yes, DVDFab is listed on the official website as a proactive solution when it comes to Cinavia encryption removal. However, I wouldn't trust them, instead, download a trial version and test it with your discs and movies even for a sample one because this is the best way to do it.

Download a copy of the software to test the way it works.

The DVDFab version 5.2 isn't available for purchasing anymore. The latest version is 9.1.7.4 and the whole package will cost you 57.60 $. You can obtain it from the official website of the developer. It's usually advised to download the latest stable version since it's bug free and offers advanced features. If you need alternative applications, access the database of Software Informer.

The copy of the Interstellar DVD stops after it starts playing. What can I do? I use DVDFab 9.2.1.0.

Answer by Stephen Prastman

I have seen users who were able to create copies of the DVDs for personal use with DVDFab. However, if you have issues with the current version, try downloading the latest one using the forums from the official website. Also, on the forum you can also post issues you have with the application and DVD ripping or copying.

Yes, the application allows you to play media files, but it can be done only through the Converter section. Click the Converter, then load a video using the plus button. Once the video is loaded into the program, click the green arrow that's in front of the video's name. Playback will start, and then you'll have the option of watching the entire video added to the conversion list. This is not a dedicated video player, but a preview function to see what videos you've added to the program.

Yes, the application and the entire suite of applications are still updated by the developers. In fact, the latest version was released last month on 20th. You can check the details below:

Size: 59.6 MB
Version: 9.2.1.0 (what's new?)
Date: August 20, 2015

The download page of the DVDFab website will always display latest version and the update date.

Can DVDFab edit ISO files?

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

No, the DVDFab application doesn't have the feature to edit ISO files. The software allows you to Copy, Rip, Convert and Create ISO files. This is the primary functionality offered by the application. I have checked the other products, but none of them provide the editing functionality. You will need an application like Magic ISO Editor or Power ISO to edit the ISO contents.

I have been trying to make a backup copy of the main movie only in 3D mode that will play back through a BluRay Player on a TV. When it loads in the player, the images are displayed side by side and not in 3D (doesn't matter what settings I choose for the player). I am not sure what I am doing wrong. How can I overcome this?

A
Answer by Aiden McLeod

The image is displayed on two screens side by side because you chose from the 3D settings while you made the backup Split Screen. This is indeed a way to display 3D movies, but you need to use special glasses to view it. For additional information, check the user manual of the product. You can find it on the following website.
